“I average about 25,000 steps a day”
-Said every dog walker

Fitness trackers have become a popular way to stay active with the success of wearable devices from Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung and the infamous Apple watch encouraging people to keep tabs on their health. As a dog walker there is nothing more motivating and satisfying seeing my hard work translated into active steps at the end of the night. It keeps me motivated throughout the day and the added functions allow for quick glances at emails, texts and calls- I am no longer wasting time pulling out my phone for an unnecessary, not important notifications.

Fitbit

If your not extremely brand loyal to Samsung or Apple products then I highly recommend two amazing Fitbit products. I went with Fitbit because it was a little nicer to my wallet and it was more of an athletic/rugged product. Additionally, Fitbit tends to connect to more of the major health apps and the battery lasts about a week compared to the Apple and Samsung products only lasting about 30 hours (ie: you will have to charge once a day). I just recently upgraded my original Fitbit to the Fitbit Charge 2 and I absolutely love it! My only complaint is that it is a bit bulky (I have abnormally small wrists) but they now have a similar product that is much slimmer called the Fitbit Alta.

If you want all the bells and whistles, are willing to spend a little more and don’t mind that it is bigger then I would recommend the Fitbit Blaze.

Now for you brand loyal walkers here is what I recommend;

Samsung Gear

If I had the budget and did not love Fitbit so much then I would own the Samsung Gear Sport watch without a doubt. (Full disclosure, I use Samsung products- I use the Note 8 for business and personal. I LOVE the stylus)  Also, I should mention this watch will indeed connect with any apple phone as well, good for you Samsung!

Apple Watch

Now the Apple watch is the ultimate device for a healthy life. Apple products obviously sync more seamlessly to each other so if you use an iPhone this would be a fantastic product. The only downfall is it is a pricey product!
